Costa Rica is a safe country. However, we advise you to take all the safety measures that are usual in a large city or busy places, especially in the capital city of San José. Never leave your luggage unattended.

The inhabitants of Costa Rica are very friendly people who will welcome you cordially and will always be pleased to help you! In the bookshops you can buy various books about Costa Rica that will tell you a lot about this beautiful country.

The water from the taps in Costa Rica is drinkable. However we advise you to use bottled water. On the porch of Hotel El Mono Feliz we have cold bottled water for our guests!
