Some hotels may seem to be over priced, but do not forget that it is only a seasonal business in many parts of the country, because unfortunately many people have the wrong opinion that it would not be possible to travel to Costa Rica during the rain season. However, even between May and November, nearly all trips in the country and activities can be done without restriction. It most times rains only in the afternoon.
