Ways of traveling to Nosara:

By car: If you drive to Nosara, we recommend a 4 x 4 car, even though you can make it also with a regular car. Driving time from San Jose to Nosara is about 4 hours crossing the new Tempisque bridge.

About 20 miles after Nicoya you come to a gasoline station. Make a right turn 200 meters behind it and take the 15 miles long nature road to Nosara. Casita Romantica is located at Playa Guiones, about 3 miles before Nosara (take the 3rd intersection Playa Guiones at the Pizzeria Giardino Tropical).

By bus: The Alfaro Bus Company departs from San Jose to Nosara daily at 6:00 am, leaving from the Coca-Cola bus terminal at 14th street, 5th avenue. Fare is about US$ 8.00 and it takes appr. 4 hours depending on the traffic and road conditions. Alfaros phone number is: 222-2750 or 223-8229. Buy your ticket in advance. New is the Interbus (www.interbusonline.com)

By airplane: Sansa (www.flysansa.com, Tel. 221-9414) and Nature Air (www.natureair.com, Tel. 220-3054) fly daily between San Jose and Nosara. Fare is about US$ 68 one way. Lacsa and some foreign airlines land at Liberia International Airport, about two and a half hours from Nosara by taxi or car. Rental cars are available at the airport in Liberia.
