An aura of
gracious living pervades Casa Turire, from the wood-toned bar to the
leather-appointed library/game parlor and linen-draped rattan dining
room. Decorative, tiled floors and graceful archways frame the central
atrium courtyard, where guests lounge in deep-seated sofas, surrounded
by fresh floral displays and nature prints.
Chose from our
roster of activities, or simply enjoy hotel grounds. There you'll
encounter birds such as the oropendola, parakeet and toucan as you
stroll through the fruit orchards and surrounding forest trails. A
swim in the spring-fed pool refreshes you before a gourmet meal in the
family-size restaurant. At your disposal are the games room, library,
pool table and tennis courts on the premises.
Dining Room &
Bar
In the Mediterranean-style dining room, we serve fresh/organic fruits
and vegetables from the plantation, along with beef and chicken
entrees cooked in the traditional manner. Breakfast and lunch are a la
carte, while the dinner menu offers varied selections.

Visit a sugar
cane mill in season, a coffee facility where Costa Rica's superior
beans are prepared, and a processing plant for the flavorful macademia
nut. One of the principal attractions of the area is a thrilling ride
in a river raft or a kayak. It was here at Hacienda Atirro that the
first daring rafters hit the waters of the Reventazón River over a
decade ago
Jungle and
forest lovers commune with nature along various marked paths.
Horseback riders and bicyclers find the ideal terrain for their
outings. Nearby is the country's most famous archaeological site, the
pre-columbian ruins of Guayabo National Park. For additional
excursions to Costa Rica's natural wonders, see Tour Information.

The Turrialba
Valley lies 65 km. east of San José, the nation's capital.
Irrigated by the Reventazón River, the valley has been an
agricultural center for over a century.
This region,
with evenly distributed rains during the year, comprises a green
mosaic of primary mountain-forests, biological reserves, natural
and man-made forests, and coffee plantations. A delicate balance
has been maintained between agricultural development and
ecological preservation. The scenic beauty, fauna & flora
diversity, along with the development of white-water rafting and
kayaking make Turrialba a favorite spot for adventure tourism and
scientific exploration.
