2 weeks of nature and wildlife

1st day - breakfast, San José sightseeing tour with national museum, central market and La Casona art and souvenier shop. Lunch in San José, return to Hotel Valle del Sol, 15 miles west of San Jose, dinner.

2nd day - breakfast, tour to volcano Poas with a hike through the cloud forest and to the lagune, picknick, visit of the butterfly farm and the waterfall, return to the hotel, dinner.

3rd day - breakfast, trip to Braulio Carillo Rain Forest with possibility to take a ride on the arial tram, lunch, visit of a banana plant, return to your hotel, dinner.

4th day - tour to Volcano Irazu, crater hike, lunch, visit at Garden Lankaster and Cartago, return to your hotel, dinner.

5th day - breakfast, tour to Puriscal, visit of a tobacco factory where you can roll your own cigar, lunch, visit of Tropical Park TURU BARI with possibility to take a ride with the arial tram (new!). On our way back, we stop at Quittirisi Indian Reserve, where handcrafted souveniers are sold. Return to the hotel, dinner.

6th day - breakfast, tour to Sarchi to see artists painting, lunch, visiting a Coffee factory, return to your hotel, dinner.

7th day - breakfast, hike through the coffee fincas of Valle del Sol with picknick in Rodeo Park or free time to go swimming, return to the hotel, dinner.

8th day - tour to La Fortuna at Volcano Arenal, lunch, horseback riding to the waterfall La Fortuna where you can enjoy swimming, picknick. Watch Oropendolas and Tucans, dinner, stay in La Fortuna.

9th day - breakfast, trip to Cano Negro Reserve, where you will see crocodiles, ice birds, storcks, salamanders and many other animals. Lunch on board. Return to La Fortuna, bath in the hot springs of Volcano Arenal, dinner, stay in La Fortuna.

10th day - breakfast, hiking tour to the old lava fields of the volcano and swimming in it´s lagune. Picknick in the park, hiking through the tropical rain forest. See monkeys, tucans, wild turkeys, green makows and different birds of the forest. Return to La Fortuna and dinner.

11th day - after a visit of the butterfly farm, we leave La Fortuna through the rain forest to San Ramon and drive back to Trinidad in the central valley, where we have dinner.
