We believe, that our students have to feel at home to get the nessesary confidence to speak a foreign language. We are proud on our freindly and professional atmosphare. Since we keep our school small, teachers, stuff and students become like a family.

Our Spanish programs got developed with great care to satisfy the needs of all students. Many different classes are available which offer everything to be able to completely enjoy Costa Rica.
Since CRLA is under costarican management, we guarantee an authentic cultural experience.
Spanish is one of the most common languages of the world. Costa Rica is a country with friendly people, surrounded by the wonders of nature. And we would like to share them with you! Spanish Lessons

We offer individual lessons or in small groups of 3 to 4 people. This private size combined with our methods of teaching, helps us to fit all programs to your needs and learning skills. We offer  4 different levels and you come to a group which fits the best to your knowledge. You work active from the beginning, get written material, a song book, learn about culture and much more......

Lessons are held the whole year. Individual lessons, special pakages for groups and alternative accommodation available.
 
We work on an open base, which means, you can participate at any time. However, we recommend mondays. We accept Visa, Master Card, travellers cheques and do not ask for prepayment. To register, simply fill out our Registration form or send us a fax. If you wish airport pickup, please tell us your flight dates and numbers. Please write, if you have additional questions or if you wish more information. We hope, that you will decide for us and will do everything to make your stay as good as possible.

Latinamerican dancing course

Our dancing school is known as one of the best in Costa Rica. We offer daily latinamerican dancing lessons for foreigners as well as for natives. Spanish students are invited to participate for free. An excellent way to make friendships and explore the cultural and social heart of San José.

Cooking Classes 

Are held every week about 2 hours in the afternoon (depending on the meal). They are always held in Spanish and show our students how to prepare costarican and other latin american meals. How you find us

The Costa Rican Language Academy is located in Barrio Dent, a very nice up-scale residential/commercial  neighborhood on the east side of San José.  The exact address is : Barrio Dent, from Autos Subaru, 2 blocks
north to Calle Ronda, turn left 75 meters, right side. Located in a quiet, secure neighborhood, CRLA is close to places of interest for the students, across from the University of Costa Rica campus, close to the well-known San Pedro Mall and to a variety of restaurants, cinemas, banks, Internet cafes, and many stores.  It is also a 20-minute walk from downtown San José and a short bus ride from our home stay families.
