“Learn Spanish and have fun”

Academia Tica is proud to present it’s Golden Age Program “Learn Spanish and have fun” in tropical Costa Rica, for adults 50 and over. This attractive program was designed for adults that would like to visit Costa Rica, learn a bit of Spanish, participate in interesting activities and visit exciting places.
It offers a light Spanish course, lots of activities, workshops, trips and two free afternoons so students can travel on their own.

A typical day for this program is as follows:

8:30 to 10 am	Spanish lessons
10:00 to 10:30	coffee and a tropical snack – on the house
10:30 to 12 noon	learn by having fun activity (most of them at the school)
2:00 pm to 5:00 pm or 7:00 to 10:00 pm	fun visits and workshops

List of learn by having fun activities: gardening, trip to a tropical plant nursery, a talk with a personality from Coronado (artist, politician, farmer, etc), shopping afternoon, conference about Costa Rican flora, workshop on handicrafts, folkloric Costa Rican dances, visit an organic farm, tree planting trip, writing workshop.

List of fun visits and workshops: San José guided tour, tropical cocktail workshop, visit a Costa Rican typical food restaurant, afternoon at a rain forest aerial tram, evening at the theater and a cocktail lounge, visit a coffee plantation and processing plant.

Weekend tours to: Irazú or Poás Volcano and Manuel Antonio Beach National Park
Group size: 8 to 10 Duration: 2 weeks
Cost: $1364 for a 2-week period. This reasonable fee includes: Airport transfer two ways, Spanish course, standard accommodation with a Costa Rican family, all activities, entrance fees when needed, transportation and any workshop materials, two tours.

Course starting dates according to Spanish level: First Monday of the month.

Beginners:	January, April, July and October
Intermediates:	February, May, August and November
Advanced:	March, June, September and December
